Privacy Policy

Our Commitment

Blackpiranha is committed to your privacy. We believe that an RSS reader should be a personal tool, not a data collection instrument.

Data Collection

Sparrowhawk does not collect or transmit any of your personal or sensitive user information to external servers.

The app does not collect personal identifiers (such as name, email, or phone number), device identifiers, or location data.

The following data is handled exclusively within the application:

  • Feed Subscriptions: The URLs of the RSS/Atom feeds you subscribe to.
  • Reading History: Which articles you have read or bookmarked.
  • App Settings: Your theme preferences, font choices, and layout settings.

Data Processing

All data processing, including the storage of your feeds and the caching of article content, occurs locally on your device. Sparrowhawk uses a private local database (Room) to manage this information.

When the app fetches updates, it makes direct network requests to the RSS feed providers you have chosen to follow. No intermediary servers are used to track your subscriptions or reading habits.

Data Deletion

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over its deletion. You can request data deletion at any time through the following methods:

  • In-App Features: You can delete individual feeds or clear your reading history directly within the app settings.
  • System Settings: You can clear all app data through your Android device's System Settings (Settings > Apps > Sparrowhawk > Storage > Clear Data).
  • Uninstallation: Uninstalling the Sparrowhawk app will automatically remove all locally stored data associated with the application.

Third-Party Services

Sparrowhawk does not include any third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising platforms that collect user data.
