Privacy Policy — Sparrowhawk
Last Updated: May 17, 2026[cite: 2]
Our Commitment
Blackpiranha is committed to your privacy[cite: 2]. We believe that an RSS reader should be a personal tool, not a data collection instrument[cite: 2].
Data Collection
Sparrowhawk does not collect or transmit any of your personal or sensitive user information to external servers.[cite: 2]
The app does not collect personal identifiers (such as name, email, or phone number), device identifiers, or location data[cite: 2]. All core data is handled exclusively on your device[cite: 2]:
- Feed Subscriptions: URLs of the RSS/Atom feeds you follow[cite: 2].
- Reading History: Articles read or bookmarked[cite: 2].
- App Settings: Theme preferences, layout options, and typography configurations[cite: 2].
Data Processing
All data processing and article caching occurs locally on your device via a private Room database[cite: 2]. Direct network requests are made solely to fetch content from the feed providers you subscribe to, with no intermediary tracking servers[cite: 2].
Data Deletion
You retain complete control over your data[cite: 2]: * In-App: Delete individual feeds or wipe reading history inside the settings screen[cite: 2]. * System Settings: Clear storage at any time via Android Settings > Apps > Sparrowhawk > Storage > Clear Data[cite: 2]. * Uninstallation: Removing the application permanently deletes all local databases and cached records[cite: 2].
Third-Party Services
Sparrowhawk does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, trackers, or advertising frameworks[cite: 2].
